Mazi Basil Nwokorie, from Umuodiri Umunumo, Ehime Mbano, Imo State, Nigeria, is an accomplished lawyer and private coach based in Port Harcourt. A graduate of the University of Nigeria and the Nigerian Law School, he holds LL.B and B.L certificates. An avid writer, he has authored Songs of a Southern Infidel, an upcoming poetry anthology, and contributed to Crossroads Anthology (2008), commemorating the great poet Christopher Okigbo. In 2011, he received the Meritorious Statesman Community Award for his contributions to Imo State. He is married to Ifeyinwa, with four children.
