About Author
Dr. Girija L. S. is currently working at GE Healthcare in Bangalore and hails from Dharwad. She holds a B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering, an M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, a Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Accelrys certification in Bioinformatics, a certificate in Advanced Data Analytics from IIT Hyderabad, Management Certification from University of Cincinnati, USA, PG in Management from Great Learning, a Certificate in Yoga, a Diploma in Russian, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resources. She has been awarded Doctorate from France University. Prior to joining GE, she worked in various multinational companies such as Novo Nordisk, Novartis, Strides Arcolab, AstraZeneca, and California Digital, holding multidimensional roles including Group Head, Project Manager, and Global Head. She also has academic experience, having worked at B.V.B. College of Engineering and the Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology (IBAB) in Bangalore. She is a steering committee member of the India chapter of GAMP (Good Automated Manufacturing Practices). Dr. Girija has had a passion for writing since her student days and has written various articles for popular magazines like Prapancha and Tarang. The chief editor of the magazine, Nadoja Dr. Patil Puttappa, noted that one of her articles was the first of its kind written in Kannada. With a deep interest in Yoga, she not only practices but also teaches it. Due to her exceptional skills, she was recognized as “One of the Top 100 Managers in the Country” based on a research study by Prof. T.V. Rao from IIM Ahmedabad. She has also received several other accolades, including the “Woman of the Year” award.
