Description
This book examines hidden risk factors for cardiometabolic diseases among apparently healthy adults in Northern Ghana. Focusing on vitamin B12, vitamin D, and body image perception, it reveals how micronutrient deficiencies and misperceptions of overweight and obesity increase health risks. Based on data from over 300 participants, the study offers practical insights for prevention, nutrition, and lifestyle interventions to address the rising burden of cardiometabolic diseases.
