About Authors
Justin U. Ogbu, an experienced horticulturist and plant ecologist at the Federal College of Agriculture (FCA) Ishiagu, Nigeria, serves as Head of the Department of Pest Management Technology. With over 24 years of teaching and research, he specializes in ornamental horticulture, plant propagation, biodiversity conservation, and allelopathy. He holds degrees from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, and is affiliated with various professional societies in Nigeria.
Dr. K. O. Orji earned his B. Agric. (Crop Science) and M. Sc. (Crop Production) from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 2004 and 2014 respectively. He obtained his PhD in Crop Production and Physiology from Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, in 2019. Presently, he serves as Examination Officer in the Department of Agronomy and is affiliated with the Agricultural Society of Nigeria and the Crop Science Society of Nigeria. With over 20 publications, his work spans international and local journals.
Dr. Isaac Oluwaseyi Abiola earned his B. Agric. Tech. in Crop Production from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, and completed his Master’s and PhD in Horticulture at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Nigeria. He served as Head of Crop Production Technology and later Horticulture and Landscape Technology Departments at the Federal College of Forestry Ibadan. Subsequently, he served as Deputy Provost before moving to the Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria. With over two decades of experience, he has contributed to horticultural teaching and research with more than twenty publications in national and international journals.
In 2018, Abubakar Wakili earned a Master’s Degree in Agronomy from Modibbo Adama University Yola. Presently, he serves as the Head of the Department of Horticultural Technology at the Federal College of Horticulture Dadinkowa in Gombe State, Nigeria. He’s affiliated with various Nigerian horticultural, weed science, and crop science societies, contributing significantly to national assignments, curriculum development, and accreditation exercises while boasting numerous conference papers and journal publications in agriculture.
