About the Author

Indranil Mukherjee author of this book graduated from Presidency College, Calcutta with first class honours in philosophy. He completed his post-graduation in the same subject followed by LLB from Calcutta University. His academic attainments were prized by several accreditations like ‘Ramtanu Lahiri Gold Medal’ from Calcutta University and ‘Kartick Chandra Mullick Memorial Medal’ from Presidency College, Calcutta. His interest in management developed during the time of his discharge of duties in responsible positions in organizations like, Bank, Port and other prominent government and non-government organizations. He also obtained post-graduate diplomas in Personnel Management as well as Human Resource Management from prominent management institutions. For some time he was engaged in teaching activities when he worked as guest lecturer in IISWBM, Calcutta and as faculty in a private Marine college to teach management to the master mariners. He is Lifetime member of the Indian Society for Training and Development. He was a management consultant and he rendered consultancy service to central government organization and some big industrial houses in Personnel matters. A student of philosophy, he combined philosophical knowledge with managerial experience and the present book is result of interdisciplinary studies of both philosophy and management science.
