Description
The first part ‘Africans for Africa’ is set to encourage Africans to take pride on who they are, celebrate their strength and victories, unite to solve their issues, and take part in their own growth and development. In the second part, ‘On Being a Woman’, the poet portrays the modern woman and the traditional woman; what is there to emulate or shy from on being a woman; the impacts women have in the society; and their role in modern technological and political world.
About the Author
Mercy Adhiambo Ogony was born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya. She’s married to Gabriel Ngeno and together they have a son (Eli Abbott). She is a full time homeschooling teacher and tutor English and Literature. Her interest for writing began in the year 2000, when she learned to read and write the English language; before that she only spoke Kiswahili and Tholuo. Writing for her started as a hobby. Later, she took it as a way of expressing her teenager emotions; and later a young woman who was trying to figure out her place in the world; But now, a way to change the perspective of the world on literature.
