Adam who had enjoyed perfect life, its continuance conditioned on obedience to Jehovah (Gen. 2:17), now experienced in himself, the workings of sin and its fruitage, spiritual death. He was “cut off from God and true spirituality,” nevertheless his life vigor was strong, living for 930 years before physical death overtook him. He lost eternal life for himself and offspring. (Gen. 3:17, 22-23; 5:5)
The apostle John, quotes Jesus Christ as saying: “God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son Jesus Christ, that whoever believes in him, will not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
And Jesus Christ said: “This is eternal life, their knowing you, the only true God and the one whom you have sent, Jesus Christ.” (John 17:3)
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Paul Kofi Peprah was born in the town of Akim Achiase in the Eastern Region of the Republic of Ghana. He started his early day’s primary education from 1944 in the United Methodist and Presbyterian Primary Schools, completing the whole primary education in 1950, a period of six years, with Standard Seven Leaving Certificate.
He graduated from the University of Ghana with Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture in 1962 and was immediately employed by the Ministry of Food and Agriculture as tutor at the Kwadaso/Kumasi Agricultural Training College and then as Agricultural Extension Officer, from 1962-1974. In the interim, he obtained United States – Aid Fellowship in 1970, to do graduate studies in Economics. He graduated with Master’s Degree in Economics at University of Arizona U.S.A, in 1972.
He transferred from the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, on appointment as Managing Director, to the Eastern Regional Development Corporation, Koforidua, in 1975, from where he went on voluntary retirement in 1983, to become a traditional ruler in his traditional area until 1993, when he abdicated as traditional ruler to enter active politics.
He entered into politics in January 1993 as Member of Parliament for the Akim Swedru Constituency and in March the same year, he was appointed a Minister of State, for political administration of the Eastern Region of the Republic of Ghana. He retired from active politics at the end of 1996 to carry out his evangelical ministry.
