About the Book
Sylvia Plath’s poetry is poetry of experiences. This book refers to the art of contemporary poetry, by elaborating the struggles of identity and turmoil in her life. It brings out the poetic characteristics of confessional elements, with an emphasis on feminist approach. It seeks to appropriate and assimilate the external reality by imaginative identification. Sylvia Plath’s poems paint the most intimate personal details, which further universalizes the passion and craftsmanship of the poet. Without a doubt, Sylvia Plath’s importance will not diminish with time, and her poetic intensity shall continue to fire the imagination of young poets.
