What is MRP and How Do I Determine It?
MRP (Maximum Retail Price) is the highest price at which your book is sold to readers. It encompasses all costs associated with production and distribution. While you have the flexibility to set your book’s MRP, it should adequately cover these costs to ensure profitability.
For expert guidance on setting the MRP of your book, please email us with your manuscript’s word count at publication@excellerbooks.com. We will provide you with tailored advice to optimize your pricing strategy.
How is Royalty Calculated?
Royalty is derived from the net profit of your book sales, calculated as:
Net Profit = MRP – Expenses (Production Cost + Distribution Cost).
At Exceller Books, we provide you with 100% of the net profit as your royalty, ensuring you receive the full financial reward for your work.
For personalized assistance with setting your MRP and calculating your royalty, please email us at publication@excellerbooks.com. We’ll offer prompt, expert guidance.
What Do Production and Distribution Costs Include?
Production Costs encompass printing, packing, labelling, referral costs, along with any miscellaneous expenses.
Distribution Costs cover the commissions for our online and physical distribution partners. Notably, if your book is sold through the Exceller Book Store, there are no distribution costs.
