‘Exceller Books’ in collaboration with ‘Poetry Paradigm’ organised several events to celebrate International Women’s Day’21: a debate competition,a story writing competition ‘Breaking the Glass Ceiling: Your Own Story of Overcoming Invisible Boundaries’ and a poetry competition‘A Shift from Men Will be Men to Men Will Fight for Women in Chain’.
The main purpose of such programme is always to reflect on the progress made by women, and to celebrate contributions of women in our society in the past and present. The event was indeed brought to life by the warm presence of the poets during the recitation and poetry reading session. We were further enriched by valuable comments of our esteemed panelists on‘Radical Feminism is for Everybody: Why We All Need Liberation from Gender Roles’
