Q. Can you tell us a little bit about the conception of the book?

A. The art manual was conceptualized to compliment and assist the primary teacher student trainees and also their secondary counterparts who wish to advance their practical and theoretical skills in various topical areas of art.

Q. According to you how much important it is for students to attain basic knowledge, skills and attitudes in art?

A. Knowledge skills and attitudes attributed to the book assist learners not only to pass exams but also to express themselves in the most effective and magical way.

Q. The college students are already getting practical guidance at the college. Why did you take the initiative of writing an art manual to teach basic knowledge, and art skills to college students?

Ans. There are limited books of art and the majority of those available have scanty details.

Q. which level of art students is your book meant for?

A. Primary teacher trainees and secondary school students.

Q. What is the current position of Kenyan students in basic knowledge and skills?

A. The Kenyan schools are exposed to a few books of art and qualified teachers.

Q. Do you think that the use of illustrations, photographs and diagrams is the best way to enable the readers to understand the topics?

A. yes, absolutely. There is no place for doubt.

Q. Is there a part II of ‘Art Manual’ coming along?

A. It will depend on the reception of part 1.
