Description
‘When the Gods Declare’ is a play with two acts. It is a tragedy where the queen desires to be a king. She entices her son to kill his father, and herself kills her son afterwards. But the king, through a dream by his son comes to an awareness that, he will die through the hands of his son and this made him plan to kill his son. But destiny favoured the boy, killing both father and mother to become a king. As the gods do not entertain an orphan as a king, the ignorance of the elders brought a curse on the whole community. The end result was the poor boy ending his life tragically to restore the health of his people.
