Exceller Books’ is glad to inform you that your book ‘Trial on Course’ has been successfully published. We are highly thankful to you for giving us the privilege of getting your book published. We also appreciate your continuous support and cooperation without which the book would have never been published.

Now, I am here to have a brief chat with you regarding your book ‘Trial on Course’.

Q. Isah, how do you feel after releasing your first book?

A. Honestly, I couldn’t hide the exhilaration when my dad, my mum and a lot of family and friends said “we’re very proud of you.” In fact it’s one of my historic days.

Q. Your book may be a fiction but it carries a strong realistic message. How did you get the idea of writing it?

A. Yes, If there is anything that motivates me to write is my environment. I grew up in an environment where many things were disorganized; there is no respect for the rule of law. That’s what gives me an idea that I can write something on that.

Q. What message do you want to convey to the readers through this book?

A. The message is clear. The current situation in my country and my optimism that everything is going to be all right one day. That’s why at the end of the book, the justice reigns.

Q. Is there any hidden message in the book that perhaps you conveyed metaphorically?

A. No. It’s totally work of fiction. Nothing like that ever happened.

Q. Since it is a political story, did you face any adversity or hindrance while writing or after the publication of this book?

A. I didn’t intend to make the book political, or let me say it’s not political in my perspective. Because, I kind of used two extremities of socioeconomic strata; the oppressed and the oppressors or the rich and the poor. Because for the rule of law to be abused or violated these two parties have to come in. And that’s what I used.

Hence, I didn’t face any hindrance.

Q. How have you planned the future of this book?

A. I want every Nigerian to have a copy of my book and read it. So that they’ll realize we can be optimistic about the future of our country despite the current situation. And the plan is, if any opportunity comes my way about the book, I’ll grab it.

Q. Is there going to be any sequel of the story?

A. For now, it’s indecisive. I don’t know what future holds.

Thank you for your time. Best of luck for your future and wish you a very successful and wonderful career ahead.
